Recession? New MLS Statistics Beg to Differ!

The Winnipeg Realtors just issued a press release 2 days ago that states despite a 2009 spring laden with recession woes and a flood, the Winnipeg market has rebounded to finish with an all-time high of 2.5 billion dollar volume, 2 percent higher than the best ever year!

The Winnipeg market has had three years in a row of volume of over 2 billion dollars, indicating strong market fundamentals and the continued strength of the local economy which is supporting increased population growth.

How did December compare to the previous year?

December 2009 had an average sale price of $220,000 compare to $189,000 in 2008!
